Perhaps the concept of trophy fishing is something that eludes us but we would like to think we have enough of a basic understanding to know that the trophy is the fish, not the wounds on your daughter who was just bitten by the fish. Congratulations, you found a really big fish, AND IT TRIED TO EAT YOUR CHILD! Put the fish on ice and get your child to the hospital! We can’t imagine who you are trying to impress with this but surely the pat on the back is not worth the blood loss, increased potential for scrarring, and infection of an open series of wounds on your daughter, who clearly appears to be in shock from all of this.
Let’s all take a moment to consider the fact that you need a license to catch fish but not a license to be a parent.
