“By” = Identifying the agent performing an action, as in, “she walked by him.”
“Buy” = Obtain in exchange for payment, a purchase.
When do we get taught to spell these words? 4th – 5th grade? And we use them day in and day out for years to come.
In this day and age of spell check, SOMEONE (the manager of this place, the printer, the person who put up the sign) should have noticed this spelling error and fixed it, even if they had to do so with a piece of masking tape with the correct spelling.
Come on now! smh

Vote “Think This is Okay” if you think it’s fine that people don’t know how to spell. Ignorance is bliss, that’s why dumb people are so happy, right?! smh

There is some debate here at Not-Okay over what is actually (or perhaps the most) not-okay in this scene. Not-okay to abbreviate “PARK” / “PARKING” on the ground with “PRK” / “PAK” (?). Not-okay to paint by hand on the ground of your facility rather than having someone do a professional job with a stencil or perhaps posting a sign instead. Chances are that the level of care you give to the exterior of the facility closely matches the level of care you give to the inside. Not-okay, to be so determined to paint the ground yourself, abbreviate and then to have your writing be so unclear that we still can’t decide if that middle letter is an “R” or an “A.” #LandlordFail

The year is 2012. CNN certainly has employed some of the most well educated journalists and editors in the world. Spell check should not even be necessary, as they should very clearly be able to edit grammar school spelling words! Not acceptable work for an 8th grader, let alone an international news corporation.
It could actually be spelled either way
